Criterium Cycles Servicing & Warranty

Introduction

Our team of trained and experienced technicians are able to provide a comprehensive servicing and warranty support service for all the products we sell. We pride ourselves on our obsessive approach to quality and customer satisfaction.

Our fully equipped workshop has the latest equipment necessary to carry out all our maintenance and service tasks plus we are able to call on the partner organizations from time to time if required.

Covid 19 Restrictions

As a result of the disruption caused by Covid-19 as well as the fact that during the last year cycling has seen a huge surge in popularity, some aspects of our servicing department are slightly different than usual and lead times are a little extended. Please do bear with us during this time and the fact that we may need to prioritise certain tasks on a week to week basis.

Bike Servicing

Unlike many bike shops who offer a pre packaged series of servicing plans we have have found over the years that since every customer has a different approach to use, storage and maintenance of their bikes, it is not possible to simplify servicing to a handful of packages.

Therefore, we run a condition based servicing policy. Every single bike that comes in for servicing benefits from the following as standard:

1. A comprehensive inspection

2. An individual quotation of suggested service work produced by a senior service adviser given the comprehensive inspection

3. An absolute commitment from us that no work will start at all until you have received the quote, asked any questions you like and have confirmed you are happy for us to proceed.

Even then, the service technician assigned to your bike may find additional faults during the service that were not immediately apparent during the initial inspection. If this is the case, we will always call you first to discuss the additional works and why we think they are required. We will never carry out any works until you have given us your approval. You remain in control of the process and the cost at all times.

Benefits of purchasing a bike from Criterium Cycles

We believe in the highest standards of after sales support for our customers. Many of our customers are on their 3rd, 4th or more bikes from Criterium Cycles and the feedback we receive is that this is as much to do with the after sales care we provide as much as the excellent advice we gave during the purchase process.

1. You get priority access to all our workshop services

2. There are no fees for the inspection of any bike for servicing works, irrespective of age or condition

3. There are no fees for the administration of any valid warranty claims

4. The labour to remove / refit any parts that need to replaced under warranty is carried out Free of Charge

5. The transit / postage costs of any parts that need to be sent to / received from our suppliers as part of any valid warranty claim are Free of Charge

Exclusions

If you purchased a Trek or Bianchi bike from another dealer and require any servicing or warranty work carrying out then we will always see if our workshop has any spare capacity. However, we will always prioritise the servicing of bikes that were bought from us. It is currently unlikely that we will be able to accept any bike for servicing or warranty work that was not originally purchased from us.

We regret that we are unable to service or undertake any warranty work on any bike manufactured by anyone other than Trek or Bianchi.
